jule's corner
i watch a movie, you've probably heard of it. it's 'i saw the tv glow' and for the first time in a while i shed a tear.
watch it, especially if you are queer.
Hi again, I am back to simply tell you about plans/projects I want to execute this summer.
I'm about to head to work so I won't be able to write everything I want to do, but oh well.
First, an *ACTUAL* media server! So far I've just had my music on a extra 2TB hard drive and sharing it to soulseek.
The problem with this setup is that I always shutdown my computer before bed, as I need it to be 100% quiet and dark in my room
So, having a server running 100% of the time will work, I have this super old 2005ish Dell computer I got yard selling with a friend (it was free)
I plopped in a 500GB SSD I had laying around and installed Debian 12 with no WM/DE, just tty. I might use it as the server *for now*.
The real plan is to build a server as I have a few parts laying around not being used. Like a 13th/14th gen i3 CPU, RX 6600, and a Scythe Mugen 5!
Now the next plan! A semi-modded out iPod Classic 5/6/7th gen preferably. I don't want to add internal bluetooth as I've read that it's actually worse compared to a adapter/dongle
All I really wont to be with it is just RockBox and making the outside look pretty with after market shells. Also probably throw in a SSD, as I'm not confident in a spinning hard drive inside a phone-like device.
well i haven't really put a thought on this page for almost a year :33333
so heres a random listening dump for no reason (it's 1:35am and i have work tmw)
ALBUM: Grove - Dion,
it's basically The Fool by Bladee but it still goes insanely hard and has some features from 1team/underground rap scene
ALBUM: Music Has The Right To Children - Boards of Canada,
suuuuper chill album, listened to this on the nyc subway and it fit so well.
ALBUM: quinn - quinn,
goddddd i can't stop coming back to this album! quinn is one of the favorite artists, been listening to her for ~4 years now.
i would also recommend checking out her drive by lullabies by her too!
ALBUM: THE GHOST~POP TAPE - Devon Hendryx,
an amazing sounding album, favorite devon album, can't wait for the remaster :D
welllll, that's all i feel like adding rn. i might do this more often, or i'll totally forget about this again!!
So I've forced myself to only use colemak-dh as my default layout for ~1 month now.
So far, it's been pretty alright, I'm remembering where most keys are, and averaging ~33wpm on typing tests atleast.
The layout is very nice, and not moving my hands/fingers as much is suuuupeerrr nice.
I plan to one day, handwire and build my own Corne like keyboard, as I've seen that colemak-dh clashes very well with small ortho keyboards too.
Overall, switching to colemak-dh has been very fun!
Test, Test!
